- Execution, gas-market conditions and the energy transition remain key factors for investors.
TotalEnergies has added a new long-term LNG supply arrangement to its gas portfolio. In a press release issued on Tuesday, November 3, the company said ADNOC Gas would supply up to 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas under a five-year agreement. The first deliveries are expected in 2026, according to TotalEnergies.
Long-term supply supports LNG positioning
Stéphane Michel, TotalEnergies' President for Gas, Renewables & Power, said the agreement deepens the companies' long-standing partnership. He added that ADNOC Gas' location between Europe and Asia would support TotalEnergies' position among the leading LNG portfolio suppliers.
TotalEnergies said its global LNG portfolio reached 44 million tonnes in 2025. The company also aims to increase natural gas to close to half of its sales mix by 2030, while combining gas activities with renewables and electricity.
Execution remains the investor focus
The agreement adds contracted supply to TotalEnergies' integrated LNG activities, which include production, transportation, regasification, trading and bunkering. It does not remove the company's exposure to commodity prices, regulatory decisions, project execution or the longer-term shift in the energy mix.
