uniQure reported its third-quarter 2026 results on Wednesday, November 4, alongside regulatory progress for its Huntington's disease program. The company said the FDA had granted priority review to the biologics license application for ifezuntirgene inilparvovec, also known as AMT-130, with a target decision date of May 1, 2027. The results and update were released by GlobeNewswire.

The company generated revenue of 5.2 million US dollars in the three months ended September 30, compared with 3.7 million US dollars a year earlier. Net loss narrowed to 61.2 million US dollars, or 0.88 US dollars per share, from 80.5 million US dollars, or 1.38 US dollars per share, in the prior-year quarter. The revenue increase came from higher license revenue.

AMT-130 enters regulatory review

The FDA's priority review covers the AMT-130 application under the accelerated approval pathway. uniQure said the application is supported by 36-month data from high-dose patients compared with an external control. The company and the FDA also aligned on key elements of a confirmatory study expected to enroll approximately 200 patients, with screening planned to begin in the United States by the end of 2026.

The United Kingdom's medicines regulator has validated the marketing authorization application for the same therapy. uniQure is also preparing commercial capabilities and engaging with treatment centers ahead of a potential launch. Regulatory review does not guarantee approval, and the confirmatory study remains an important execution milestone for the program.

Pipeline and financial position

uniQure completed enrollment in the second dose cohort of its AMT-260 study in refractory mesial temporal lobe epilepsy and expects updated results in the first half of 2027. Enrollment has resumed in mid- and high-dose cohorts of the AMT-191 study in Fabry disease, with updates also expected in the first half of 2027.

Cash, cash equivalents and investment securities totaled 768.4 million US dollars at September 30, up from 622.5 million US dollars at the end of 2025. Management expects those resources to fund projected operating expenses into 2030, giving the company additional time to advance its clinical and commercial plans.

The real-time quote of uniQure stock showed trading at 20.42 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 13:32 CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
