Valeura Energy reported record quarterly revenue and oil sales in its Q2 2026 operations update published on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The Canadian producer said its Thailand portfolio remained on plan while drilling at Nong Yao delivered two Gulf of Thailand milestones.
In the Valeura Energy Q2 2026 Operations Update, working-interest oil production before royalties averaged 22.3 thousand barrels per day. Sales reached 2.454 million barrels, while average realized prices were 105.8 US dollars per barrel. The company said both realized pricing and revenue set quarterly records, with revenue reaching 259.8 million US dollars.
Cash supports the growth strategy
Valeura ended June 2026 with 316.5 million US dollars in cash and no debt. The cash figure included 15.8 million US dollars of restricted cash, while 42.7 million US dollars in proceeds from oil sold shortly before quarter-end were expected to arrive early in the third quarter.
The company anticipated adjusted free cash flow of approximately 100 million US dollars for the quarter. Valeura identified this as a preliminary unaudited estimate and described adjusted free cash flow as a non-IFRS measure, so the figure is not directly comparable with every issuer's cash-flow definition.
Management also said the company and Thailand's upstream regulator agreed to reduce the anticipated future decommissioning cost for the Manora field. That change lowered the required security and reduced restricted cash by 31 percent, improving the balance between funds tied to liabilities and funds available for operations.
Nong Yao adds operating milestones
Valeura said the Q2 drilling program at Nong Yao met or exceeded pre-drill expectations. The company completed the longest horizontal lateral recorded in the Gulf of Thailand and Thailand's first complex multi-lateral development well, according to the July release.
President and Chief Executive Officer Sean Guest said the operating progress was intended to improve cash-flow margins while supporting a growth-oriented strategy. He also pointed to organic investment opportunities in the asset portfolio and potential inorganic opportunities, without committing the company to a specific transaction.
