Visa reported its fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year 2026 results on October 27, with the reporting year ending September 30. The update adds a new operating baseline to the earnings discussion: quarterly net revenue reached USD 12.1 billion, up 13 percent year over year, while adjusted earnings per share rose 17 percent to USD 3.48, according to Reuters.

What has changed since the last report

The latest figures show constant-dollar payments volume up 9 percent and processed transactions up 10 percent. Cross-border volume excluding intra-Europe increased 14 percent, while client incentives rose 21 percent to USD 5.1 billion. That cost line is relevant for investors because Visa expects roughly 25 percent of payments volume to be renewed in fiscal 2027, compared with 20 percent in fiscal 2026.

For the full year, net revenue rose 15 percent to USD 46 billion and earnings per share increased 16 percent to USD 13.27. Management expects fiscal 2027 adjusted net revenue growth in the low-double-digit range and described the second quarter as the likely growth low point. The outlook assumes resilient consumer spending, continued pricing contributions and a higher level of client incentives.

Growth beyond the card network

Visa is also expanding its mix of services. Payments Dive reported that commercial money movement and value-added services together represented about 40 percent of revenue, with software services for corporate clients up 19 percent and value-added services up 30 percent in fiscal 2026. The company is positioning trust, security and scalable processing as differentiators as stablecoins and agentic commerce develop.
