The index's advance was led by Umicore, which gained 1.0 percent. Argenx rose 0.7 percent and GBL advanced 0.5 percent. Melexis declined 1.7 percent after reporting results in line with consensus and giving an outlook that Degroof Petercam viewed as slightly cautious, Beursduivel said.
