BIST 100 falls 37 points as banks weigh at midday

Why is BIST 100 lower at midday?
The index opened at 11,180 points after Friday's close at 11,117 points. It reached a high of 11,205 points and a low of 11,057 points during the first half, according to Canli Gaste. Seventy constituents fell, 26 rose and four were unchanged.
Metal-equipment machinery led sector gains at 3.1 percent. Financial leasing and factoring fell 5.7 percent, while the technology sector rose 0.3 percent, Sozcu reports. The 15 March 2028 benchmark bond yielded 39.4 percent on a compound basis at 1:00 p.m. TRT, while gold rose 0.5 percent to USD 4,020, Capital reports.
