The BNB price remained closely linked to Binance's recovery efforts on November 5, after the exchange began restoring withdrawals following an October security incident. Investing.com listed BNB at 703.00 USD at 09:45 Berlin time, with a reported market capitalization of 92.55 billion USD and 24-hour volume of 1.42 billion USD.
For the UTC comparison specified for this report, Kinzan recorded BNB at 718.08 USD at 00:00 UTC on November 5. The Investing.com quote was therefore 2.10 percent lower than that reference level. This is a point-in-time comparison rather than a rolling 24-hour performance measure. The token's 52-week range on Investing.com was 537.61 to 1,018.40 USD, placing the quoted price well below its annual high.
Withdrawal recovery remains the key catalyst
Binance's official recovery update, dated November 1, said the first withdrawal phase included BNB on BNB Smart Chain. The exchange said withdrawals would be reopened cautiously after security checks, while additional networks and assets would return progressively.
The same update said Binance would cover the full amount of funds stolen in the incident. It reported that approximately 95 percent of affected assets had been replenished, up from 90 percent in the previous update, with the remaining 5 percent consisting of less-liquid tokens. Binance also said BNB and several other major assets were backed by 100 percent reserves.
Security overhang still matters
Gadgets 360 reported that the October 29 attack involved approximately 6.3 billion USD in stolen cryptocurrency. Its report said BNB withdrawals had resumed on BNB Smart Chain, while other networks remained subject to ongoing security checks. The incident therefore leaves two opposing considerations for BNB holders: restored access may reduce immediate liquidity concerns, but the security response remains central to confidence in Binance and its token.
BNB also has a structural connection to Binance beyond market sentiment. It is used within the BNB Chain ecosystem and on the exchange, meaning platform disruptions can affect both its trading narrative and its perceived utility. At the quoted level, the BNB price reflects a market still assessing whether the phased recovery can proceed without further disruptions.
