- Binance restored BNB withdrawals on BNB Smart Chain on November 1, 2026, as part of a phased recovery after the October 29 security breach.
- The exchange said approximately 95 percent of affected assets had been replenished and that BNB balances were fully backed.
- Investing.com displayed BNB at 708.40 USD when checked on November 2, with a market capitalization of 93.11 billion USD and 131.51 million BNB in circulation.
- The recovery reduces immediate access concerns, but remaining network checks and the planned proof-of-reserves verification remain relevant for investors.
The BNB price remains in focus after Binance began restoring withdrawals following the October 29, 2026 security breach. The exchange reopened BNB withdrawals on BNB Smart Chain on November 1 as part of a phased recovery, alongside USDT and USDC on BNB Smart Chain and selected assets on Ethereum. The move returned access to BNB for eligible customers, but did not mark a full reopening of every network and asset route.
Crypto.news reported that Binance said it had replenished approximately 95 percent of the assets affected by the incident. The exchange also stated that BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC balances were fully backed. Binance said the remaining assets were mainly less-liquid tokens and that additional withdrawal routes would return only after further security and stability checks.
Recovery is still being staged
The breach led Binance to suspend withdrawals while its teams examined the affected infrastructure. According to the Crypto.news report, the exchange had reserved more than 6.34 billion USD in company resources to cover the losses and said customers would not bear the financial impact. A proof-of-reserves snapshot was taken at 00:00 UTC on October 31, while full zero-knowledge verification was expected by November 3. Those dates distinguish the published reserve snapshot from the later cryptographic verification process.
The security event is material for BNB because the token is closely associated with Binance's exchange and BNB Smart Chain ecosystem. Restored withdrawals may reduce operational uncertainty, but the phased rollout means investors still need to distinguish announced availability from normal service across all networks. The breach itself does not establish a particular future direction for the token.
Quote and supply context
At the time of the November 2 check, the Investing.com BNB/USD page displayed 708.40 USD at 07:55:56. The page showed a 24-hour volume of 1.28 billion USD, a market capitalization of 93.11 billion USD, a 52-week range of 537.60 to 1,087.10 USD and 131.51 million BNB in circulation. These figures are a retrieved market snapshot rather than a UTC daily-close comparison, so no daily percentage move is inferred here.
For investors, the immediate watchpoints are the completion of the phased withdrawal restoration, the planned proof-of-reserves verification and any further disclosure about the security incident. The available information supports a recovery narrative, not a definitive trend reversal for the BNB price.
