Index methodology change takes effect
November 2 was also the first day on which the Indonesia Stock Exchange excluded stocks classified as having high shareholding concentration from the IDX Composite calculation. The Jakarta Post reported that 80 stocks in the category represented about 18 percent of the index's previous weighting and remained tradable despite being excluded from the calculation. The exchange said the removed weights would be redistributed among other constituents.
