UNUS SED LEO (LEO) is tied to a buyback-and-burn commitment covering at least 80 percent of remaining net proceeds from a 264.863 Bitcoin transfer dated October 25, 2026, according to IT Boltwise. The UNUS SED LEO price is 9.03 USD as of October 27, 2026, up 0.02 percent compared with the UTC daily close of October 26, 2026.
The 80 percent pledge has two conditions
IT Boltwise reported that the transfer is connected to a plan to use at least 80 percent of the remaining net proceeds for LEO repurchases and destruction. A token burn permanently removes tokens from circulation, while the word net means that the applicable amount is calculated after recovery claims and procedural costs described in the report.
The 264.863 Bitcoin figure is therefore a source-of-funds figure rather than a stated LEO burn amount. CryptoTicker reported on October 8, 2026, that the commitment applies to remaining net proceeds and that the transferred Bitcoin cannot be treated as an identical number of LEO tokens to be destroyed.
Monthly burns use 27 percent of gross revenue
A separate mechanism links recurring LEO purchases to iFinex revenue. CryptoTicker described the commitment as monthly purchases worth at least 27 percent of consolidated gross revenue from the previous month, followed by burns. The mechanism gives the token a recurring supply-reduction rule distinct from the proceeds connected with the Bitcoin transfer.
The Crypto Guide reported that LEO was issued in 2019 as iFinex's utility token and that its supply design relies on buybacks and burns. The two commitments use different financial bases: monthly gross revenue for the recurring program and remaining net proceeds for the recovery-related program.
