Financials and utilities support the index
Market breadth was positive: 18 stocks rose, six declined and four finished unchanged on Euronext Lisbon. Jerónimo Martins led the reported gainers, rising 2.58% to 18.29 euros. Banco Comercial Português added 1.33% to 1.11 euros.
Mota-Engil was among the decliners, easing 0.26% to 4.61 euros. Galp Energia and REN were unchanged at 20.65 euros and 3.59 euros, respectively, according to the same market report.
European market context
The session took place against a mixed commodities backdrop. Investing.com reported Brent crude for January delivery down 1.05% at 110.47 US dollars a barrel, while December crude futures fell 1.04% to 101.71 US dollars.
