- Stellar's Bell Protocol 30 testnet vote is scheduled for November 3, 2026.
- The upgrade proposal covers muxed contract addresses, post-quantum signature verification and millisecond ledger timing.
- Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams went live on Stellar on October 14, connecting developers with market data for DeFi applications.
- Investing.com displayed XLM at 0.16995 USD, with a market capitalization of 6.00 billion USD and 35.25 billion XLM in circulation at retrieval.
The Stellar price is in focus as the network approaches two scheduled votes on its next major protocol upgrade. The Stellar Development Foundation says validators will vote on Bell, Protocol 30, on the testnet on November 3, 2026, followed by a mainnet vote on November 23. Both votes are scheduled for 17:00 UTC. The announcement was published on October 20 and updated on October 30.
At retrieval on October 31, the Investing.com Stellar price page displayed XLM at 0.16995 USD. The same page showed a market capitalization of 6.00 billion USD, a market rank of 16 and 35.25 billion XLM in circulation. These are page values at retrieval, not a verified UTC daily close for October 31; the displayed percentage change is therefore not used as a UTC-day comparison.
What Bell Protocol 30 Proposes
According to the Stellar Development Foundation, Bell contains three proposed changes. Muxed contract addresses are intended to let smart contracts serve multiple customers. The proposal also includes post-quantum signature verification in smart contracts and millisecond ledger timing, which the foundation describes as groundwork for faster ledger close times.
The proposal is not yet an implemented mainnet change. Its effect depends on validator approval at the relevant vote. For investors and traders, the dates are therefore event milestones rather than confirmation that the upgrade will go live. The mainnet vote is scheduled for November 23, while the testnet vote provides an earlier checkpoint for network preparation.
Chainlink Adds Market-Data Infrastructure
A separate development concerns Stellar's connection to decentralized finance. In an October 14 announcement, the Stellar Development Foundation said Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams were live on Stellar. The tools provide market data for applications such as lending markets, prediction markets, perpetual futures and tokenized assets. The foundation linked the integration to a real-world-asset ecosystem valued at more than 4 billion USD.
That infrastructure may broaden the range of applications built on Stellar, but the announcement does not by itself establish transaction growth, user adoption or a direct effect on the Stellar price. The near-term watch points are the Bell testnet vote, the later mainnet vote and evidence that developers turn the new data services into live applications.
