The Tether USDt price remains close to its intended one-dollar level while the issuer's latest reserve disclosure provides a stronger financial cushion than in the previous quarter. The retrieved Investing.com page displayed 0.9989 USD for USDT. Its quoted market data showed a 24-hour volume of 31.59 billion USD, a market capitalization of 179.89 billion USD and a circulating supply of 180.12 billion USDT. The page did not provide a dated UTC daily close, so no one-day percentage comparison is assigned here.
Reserve buffer nearly doubles
On October 30, Tether published its third-quarter financial figures and reserves report, covering September 30, 2026. According to Tether, total reserve assets were 191.451 billion USD and total liabilities were 183.496 billion USD. The resulting excess was 7.9546 billion USD, up from 4.1 billion USD at the end of the second quarter.
Tether also reported 1.5 billion USD in net operating profit for the third quarter and 4.5 billion USD for the first nine months of 2026. The issuer said that US Treasury bills and reverse repurchase agreements generated most of this income. Direct and indirect US Treasury bill holdings totaled 132.4 billion USD, while USDT issuance remained broadly steady at 184 billion USD across the first three quarters.
What the figures do and do not show
The reserve improvement is relevant for investors assessing the stablecoin's stated redemption support, but it is not the same as a guarantee of future performance. The attestation measures specified balances at a reporting date. It does not provide continuous assurance about asset values, liquidity or operations after September 30.
The latest dated price comparison available from Nexo was 0.99953 USD on November 1, 2026. Against that backdrop, the Tether USDt price remains a peg-and-liquidity indicator rather than a conventional growth-asset signal. Small deviations from 1.00 USD can reflect trading conditions and venue-specific pricing, while the reserve report is mainly relevant to counterparty and redemption confidence.
