Aguas Andinas scheduled water outages in parts of four Santiago-area communes on Thursday, October 22, 2026, according to The Rio Times. The planned works affected Colina, Recoleta, Renca and Talagante, with interruptions scheduled from seven to 15 hours. The report said the notice did not describe an emergency or quantify a financial impact.
Operations remain tied to Santiago
Recoleta faced the longest scheduled interruption, from 15:00 on October 22 until 06:00 on October 23. Supply in Colina was due to return at 03:00, while Renca and Talagante were scheduled to resume service at 22:00 on October 22.
The operating backdrop was stronger in the first half. Aguas Andinas reported revenue of CLP 386.4 billion, EBITDA of CLP 200.9 billion and net income of CLP 77.5 billion for the period ended June 30, 2026. The investor website also lists the release of nine-month financial statements for November 26, 2026, followed by a results videoconference on November 27.
Investment reached CLP 91.6 billion in the first half, up 27 percent from a year earlier, with spending linked to the Biociudad water-security plan. The combination of regulated revenue, infrastructure spending and scheduled maintenance keeps service reliability and capital allocation central to the investment case.
Water utility with a regional focus
Aguas Andinas is a regulated Chilean utility supplying drinking water and sewerage services across Greater Santiago. Its main activity is concentrated in the capital region, giving it a more metropolitan focus than utilities such as Esval and Essbio, which serve other Chilean regions. The company competes within Chile's regulated water sector, where tariffs, drought resilience and network investment shape operating performance.
