Astor Enerji stock is drawing attention after a new analysis highlighted its transformer backlog and export exposure. Execution risks remain.

Growth case rests on grid demand

  • Astor Enerji's first-half 2026 revenue reached about TRY 19.2 billion, while net income totaled about TRY 4.65 billion.
  • The reported order backlog rose to about USD 1.93 billion, with transformers accounting for most of the portfolio.
  • Global grid investment and data-center power demand support the sector outlook, but governance and execution risks remain relevant.

Astor Enerji's first-half 2026 results and expanding order book have strengthened the growth case for the Turkish power-equipment maker, according to an analysis published by Simply Wall St. The community research update, shared on October 12, 2026, said revenue for the first six months rose 7.5 percent in real terms to about TRY 19.2 billion and net income reached about TRY 4.65 billion.

Orders point to export momentum

The analysis put Astor Enerji's August order backlog at about USD 1.93 billion, more than double the level cited for the first quarter. About 86 percent of the backlog consisted of power-transformer orders, while 85 percent was export-oriented. The research said the company had orders linked to the United States and Europe and supplied customers in more than 100 countries.

Operational profitability was another focus. The analysis said second-quarter EBITDA rose 15.9 percent year over year to about TRY 3.5 billion, with the EBITDA margin in the 37.5 percent to 37.8 percent range. It attributed part of the company's cost position to vertical integration, including in-house conductor production, while also noting that investment income contributed materially to reported profit.

Grid investment creates a tailwind

Demand for transformers and switchgear is being supported by aging electricity networks, renewable-power connections and rising electricity needs from data centers. The research compared Astor Enerji with Eaton, Siemens Energy and Schneider Electric, arguing that capacity expansion and shorter delivery times could help the Turkish producer compete for international projects.

The same analysis highlighted risks that investors must weigh. These include the execution of the company's capacity expansion, supply constraints for electrical steel and other inputs, currency and country risk, and unresolved corporate-governance concerns. Its valuation scenarios are the author's estimates rather than company guidance.

Astor Enerji's business and peers

Astor Enerji manufactures power transformers and high-voltage switchgear for electricity transmission and distribution markets. Its operations are based in Türkiye, with export activity spanning Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, North America and other regions. In the analysis, Eaton, Siemens Energy and Schneider Electric were named as larger global peers, while Astor Enerji was positioned as a more specialized Turkish producer competing through capacity growth, export exposure and transformer-focused production.
