- September-quarter production fell as Barminco continued its operational transition.
- Bellevue retained its FY27 production and all-in sustaining cost guidance.
- Hedge reductions, drilling and paste-plant construction remain key next steps.
Bellevue Gold reported lower production for the three months ended September 30, 2026, as the transition to underground mining contractor Barminco took longer than expected. Australian Mining reported the update on October 23.
September output weakened during handover
Bellevue produced 35,585 ounces in the September quarter, down from 41,643 ounces in the June quarter. Barminco assumed operational control on August 1 after Develop Global's departure, while workforce availability, equipment commissioning and restricted access to some high-grade areas slowed the ramp-up.
Management said the disruption should be largely confined to the September quarter, with deferred production targeted for recovery in subsequent periods. Chief executive Darren Stralow expects further gains in the December quarter as Barminco moves workers from a completing project to Bellevue.
Guidance remains unchanged
Bellevue retained its fiscal 2027 production guidance of 150,000 to 170,000 ounces and its all-in sustaining cost guidance of 2,800 to 3,100 Australian dollars per ounce. The mine processed 250,702 tonnes of ore grading 4.6 grams per tonne of gold, while all-in sustaining costs rose to 3,096 Australian dollars per ounce from 2,604 Australian dollars in June.
The company also reduced forward gold sales commitments by 11,150 ounces to 57,500 ounces through voluntary early deliveries. Underlying free cash flow before those deliveries reached 47.6 million Australian dollars, while cash and gold holdings rose to 213.2 million Australian dollars at quarter-end.
Execution milestones remain ahead
High-grade drilling at Deacon North continues to support mine planning, including an intercept of 9.3 metres at 62.1 grams per tonne gold. Construction of the paste plant remains on schedule, with commissioning targeted for the middle of fiscal 2027.
Broader conditions for Australian gold producers remain relevant as Bellevue works through its contractor transition and reduces its hedge book. Current S&P/ASX 200 market reports provide wider market context.
Focused Western Australian gold producer
Bellevue Gold is a gold producer operating a mine in Western Australia. Its operating model centers on underground mining, ore processing and gold sales, with contractor performance, power supply and hedging shaping near-term execution. The company is focused on a single Western Australian operation rather than a diversified, multi-commodity mining portfolio.
