- Diebold Nixdorf cut its 2026 adjusted EBITDA, free cash flow and adjusted EPS outlook because of product mix and raw-material cost pressures.

Diebold Nixdorf reported third-quarter results on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, showing higher revenue and adjusted EBITDA but sharply lower GAAP earnings. The company also reduced its full-year outlook as product mix and raw-material costs weighed on profitability, according to the SEC filing.
Revenue growth, weaker earnings
GAAP revenue reached 994.3 million US dollars, up 5.2 percent from the prior-year quarter. Adjusted EBITDA increased 4.8 percent to 127.8 million US dollars, while retail revenue grew 16 percent. GAAP net income attributable to Diebold Nixdorf fell to 6.6 million US dollars from 41.1 million US dollars, and diluted earnings per share declined to 0.19 US dollars from 1.11 US dollars.
The company said the quarter benefited from continued retail strength, improving banking activity and operating expense discipline. At the same time, elevated memory and other raw-material costs, an unfavorable product mix and the timing of banking projects put pressure on margins and cash generation. The company reported a 45.9 million US dollar free cash flow use excluding discrete tax payments.
Guidance moves lower
Diebold Nixdorf now expects 2026 revenue of 3.86 billion to 3.90 billion US dollars, compared with a previous range of 3.86 billion to 3.94 billion US dollars. Adjusted EBITDA guidance fell to 490 million to 510 million US dollars from 510 million to 535 million US dollars. The company also reduced its adjusted EPS outlook to 4.50 to 4.85 US dollars from 5.25 to 5.75 US dollars and its free cash flow outlook to 190 million to 210 million US dollars from 255 million to 270 million US dollars.
The board authorized a new 250 million US dollar share repurchase program. This capital-return decision accompanies management's focus on inventory efficiency, cash conversion and productivity improvements as the year closes.
