- Home BancShares delivered a company-record third-quarter profit, supported by stronger net interest income after credit loss expense.

- The company continued shareholder distributions through a higher dividend and quarterly share repurchases.
Home BancShares reported a company-record third-quarter profit on October 14, 2026, as stronger net interest income and lower credit loss expense supported its banking operations. The results were published in a press release carried by AP News.
Profit reaches a company record
Net income reached 129.5 million US dollars for the three months ended September 30, up from 119.3 million US dollars in the second quarter and 123.6 million US dollars a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share reached 0.65 US dollars, also a company record. Adjusted net income was 129.1 million US dollars, an increase of 7.9 percent from the third quarter of 2025.
Net revenue totaled 288.4 million US dollars, compared with 295.1 million US dollars in the prior quarter and 277.7 million US dollars a year earlier. Net interest income after credit loss expense rose to 242.0 million US dollars from 222.7 million US dollars in the year-ago period. The net interest margin improved to 4.53 percent from 4.51 percent in the second quarter.
Costs and credit remain in focus
Non-interest expense fell to 121.5 million US dollars from 135.5 million US dollars in the second quarter, primarily because acquisition-related expenses recorded in the prior quarter did not recur. The reported efficiency ratio improved to 40.78 percent from 44.54 percent.
Credit indicators require continued attention. Non-performing assets rose to 1.02 percent of total assets from 0.93 percent at June 30, while non-performing loans increased to 1.19 percent of total loans. The allowance for credit losses stood at 1.93 percent of total loans at the end of the quarter.
Shareholder returns increase
Home BancShares paid a quarterly dividend of 0.23 US dollars per share, 9.5 percent above the second-quarter payment. The company also repurchased 1.3 million shares during the quarter, with a reported buyback yield of 0.69 percent.
