- Hyundai Autoever expanded enterprise IT sales as cloud and next-generation ERP demand supported digital transformation spending.
- Vehicle software growth remained limited, leaving profitability under pressure from tariffs and geopolitical risks.
- The company plans operational efficiency measures and new business opportunities, including AI infrastructure services.
Hyundai Autoever reported stronger third-quarter revenue but weaker profitability on October 30, according to the company's regulatory filing. Consolidated sales for the July-to-September period rose 16.2 percent year on year to KRW 1.2247 trillion. Operating income fell 2.6 percent to KRW 68.9 billion, while net income declined 14.9 percent to KRW 44.9 billion.
Enterprise IT Drives Expansion
Enterprise IT remained the main growth engine. The division, which includes system integration and IT outsourcing, increased third-quarter revenue 19.7 percent to KRW 1.0248 trillion. Demand for cloud migration and next-generation enterprise resource planning systems supported spending on digital transformation.
The vehicle software business was weaker. Revenue rose only 0.8 percent to KRW 199.9 billion, while profitability deteriorated. Hyundai Autoever cited the effects of United States tariffs and geopolitical risks, and said it intends to improve margins through operational efficiency and pursue new business opportunities.
AI Infrastructure Adds Optionality
The earnings mix leaves investors weighing rapid top-line expansion against slower progress in vehicle software. Hyundai Autoever is also moving beyond software delivery toward AI computing infrastructure through a planned investment in a Hyundai Motor Group data-center joint venture. The project is intended to support GPU-as-a-service and cloud computing.
For the first nine months, revenue increased 16.4 percent to KRW 3.411 trillion, while operating income rose 1.0 percent to KRW 180.6 billion. The cumulative figures therefore show modest operating-profit growth despite the quarterly decline.
Business Model And Competition
Hyundai Autoever is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, and provides mobility software, manufacturing digital-transformation systems and enterprise technology services. Its offerings include vehicle software, over-the-air solutions, high-definition maps, cloud infrastructure, ERP, customer relationship management and HR platforms, as described on the company's business website. In South Korea's IT-services market, it is more specialized in mobility and Hyundai Motor Group-linked digital systems than broader providers such as Samsung SDS and LG CNS. The competitive comparison is therefore shaped by Hyundai Autoever's automotive software niche alongside its expanding enterprise IT base.
