Hyundai Wia presented new thermal-management and drive components for electric vehicles at the IZB 2026 supplier show in Wolfsburg. The Asia Business Daily reported on October 28, 2026, that the company was using the event to expand its engagement with European automakers, including Volkswagen.

The Asia Business Daily said Hyundai Wia displayed a shorter HVAC unit, an integrated cooling module and several next-generation drivetrain components. The exhibition ran from October 27 to October 29 and brought together 858 companies from 36 countries.

Focus on efficiency and packaging

The slim HVAC design is intended to improve space utilization and energy efficiency. Hyundai Wia's cooling module combines two previously separate radiators and is designed to cool the battery and power electronics at the same time, potentially reducing thickness and weight in the front of a vehicle.

The company also showed a Wheel Disconnect System that separates the driveshaft from the wheels when drive is unnecessary. An Active Roll Stabilizer and a Dual Constant Velocity Joint were presented alongside it. The latter connects two constant-velocity joints in series and allows an articulation angle of up to 60 degrees, according to the report.

The presentation fits Hyundai Wia's broader effort to build future-mobility businesses around thermal management and electrified drivetrains. The company said it intends to use continued research and development and proactive sales activity to pursue more European orders.
