Export growth meets currency pressure

  • Phillip Securities Research reported stronger first-half revenue and a sharp increase in export sales.
  • Higher foreign-exchange losses nevertheless reduced first-half net profit.
  • The analysis retained a positive long-term view while identifying commodity prices, consumer demand and currency movements as risks.

Indofood CBP stock was quoted at EUR 0.29 by Lang & Schwarz on October 29, 2026, at 11:00:46 p.m. Berlin time. The latest company analysis points to export growth as an important support for the packaged-food producer, while currency effects remain a material earnings risk.

Exports broaden the growth base

A report dated October 7 and published by StocksBNB said Phillip Securities Research recorded first-half 2026 revenue growth of 11.3 percent to IDR 41.9 trillion. Export revenue rose 21.9 percent to IDR 13.4 trillion, with Asia and Africa contributing to the international expansion.

The noodles business remained the largest contributor, with revenue up 11.2 percent to IDR 30.3 trillion. Dairy revenue increased 15.9 percent to IDR 5.6 trillion, while snack foods and nutrition products also recorded growth. Beverages were broadly stable.

Foreign exchange weighs on profit

The same analysis reported that gross profit increased 9.5 percent to IDR 14.4 trillion. Net profit, however, declined 33.1 percent to IDR 3.7 trillion. The main pressure came from a net foreign-exchange loss of IDR 2.9 trillion, compared with IDR 227.3 billion in the first half of 2025. Net profit margin consequently fell to 8.8 percent from 14.7 percent.

For 2026, Phillip Securities Research forecast revenue growth of 4.9 percent to IDR 78.5 trillion and retained a target price of IDR 9,000. That target is an analyst estimate rather than company guidance. For investors, the key variables are export volumes, raw-material costs, consumer purchasing power and movements in the Indonesian rupiah.
