Indutrade reported strong profitable growth for the third quarter on 23 October 2026. In its interim report, the Swedish technology and industrial group said demand improved across most of its companies and all five business areas.
Higher orders support the outlook
Order intake increased 16 percent year on year to SEK 8,991 million. Comparable-unit growth was 6 percent, and the positive book-to-bill ratio further strengthened the order backlog. Indutrade highlighted particularly strong demand from customers in medical technology, pharmaceuticals, energy and engineering.
Net sales rose 13 percent to SEK 8,871 million. Acquisitions contributed 8 percentage points, while organic growth added 5 percentage points. The Process, Energy & Water business area recorded the strongest development, supported by deliveries from an established order backlog, mainly in the energy segment.
Margin and cash flow improve
EBITA increased 19 percent to SEK 1,358 million, lifting the margin to 15.3 percent from 14.6 percent a year earlier. Indutrade attributed the improvement mainly to strong organic sales growth and positive acquisition effects, while pricing efforts helped keep the gross margin at a high level.
Operating cash flow reached SEK 1,216 million, compared with SEK 1,016 million in the prior-year quarter. Profit for the quarter rose 19 percent to SEK 804 million, and earnings per share increased to SEK 2.21 from SEK 1.85.
Acquisitions remain a key driver
Indutrade said it had acquired or signed agreements to acquire 13 companies during the year, with combined annual sales of SEK 2.1 billion. Since the end of the quarter, it has announced acquisitions including Euromed, Sinmed and German fire-protection specialist Schraner.
The company said its strong order backlog and continued acquisition activity provide a foundation for upcoming quarters. It also cautioned that some backlog growth is tied to major European energy investments with long lead times, while geopolitical uncertainty remains a risk.
