InterGlobe Aviation reported its second-quarter fiscal 2027 results on Thursday, October 29, 2026. In its press release, IndiGo said revenue from operations increased 25.9 percent year-on-year to INR 233.638 billion for the quarter ended September 30.
Revenue growth meets cost pressure
Passenger ticket revenue rose 29.3 percent to INR 206.522 billion, while ancillary revenue increased 15.9 percent to INR 24.809 billion. Yield climbed 34.3 percent to INR 6.30 per kilometre, but passenger numbers fell 4.7 percent to 27.5 million and the load factor declined to 80.3 percent.
Fuel costs increased 67.2 percent to INR 99.668 billion. IndiGo reported a net loss of INR 18.791 billion, narrower than the INR 25.821 billion loss a year earlier. Excluding foreign-exchange effects, however, the airline posted a loss of INR 7.237 billion, compared with a profit of INR 1.039 billion in the prior-year quarter.
Capacity outlook remains measured
IndiGo reduced capacity by 1 percent to 40.8 billion available seat kilometres during the quarter. Management expects capacity to grow by early single digits in the December quarter compared with the same period a year earlier. The company said elevated fuel costs and rupee depreciation continued to weigh on profitability.

Its network covers domestic and international destinations, with affordable fares, scheduled flights and ancillary services forming the core offering.
