Involys reports a difficult first half

  • The non-renewal of a support agreement with Gabon was identified as the main reason for the revenue decline.
  • Management expects the first-half weakness to continue weighing on 2026 earnings despite cost-control measures.
  • Research and development investment was maintained as the company pursues business growth in Morocco and Africa.

Involys reported a weaker first half through June 30, 2026, with revenue and profitability declining year over year. Leconomiste said the Moroccan software company generated revenue of MAD 14.4 million, down 35% from the same period in 2025.

Gabon contract weighs on revenue

Involys attributed the decline mainly to the non-renewal of its support agreement with the Gabonese state for 2026. Total products reached MAD 18.2 million, a decrease of 33% year over year.

Operating expenses stood at MAD 19.2 million at the end of June, including MAD 10.9 million in personnel costs, MAD 5.5 million in operating provisions and MAD 2.2 million in other external expenses. The operating result was negative at MAD 1.5 million, compared with a positive MAD 3.8 million in the first half of 2025.

Management flags continued pressure

Net income was negative at MAD 3.8 million, versus net income of MAD 2.8 million a year earlier. Involys said the factors behind the first-quarter revenue decline are expected to continue weighing negatively on full-year 2026 earnings, although measures are being taken to mitigate the impact.

The company said it is adapting its organization and controlling costs to protect its financial balance and gradually improve performance. It also maintained research and development investment, allocating MAD 3.3 million through June 30, while continuing commercial development in Morocco and Africa.
