- JSL posted higher third-quarter net profit while adjusted EBITDA and the operating margin edged lower.
- New contracts reached a quarterly record, with activity focused on automotive, pulp and paper, and consumer goods customers.
- Cash generation remained positive and net debt relative to EBITDA declined from the prior year.
JSL reported stronger earnings for the third quarter of 2026, with net profit rising 35.8% year over year to BRL 24.5 million. OPUS News published the report on October 30, 2026, based on information from Exame.
Contracts set a new quarterly record
Gross revenue reached BRL 3.1 billion, up 5.9% from the year-earlier quarter. JSL also signed BRL 2.8 billion in new contracts during the period, the highest quarterly volume reported by the logistics operator.
Contracts signed during the first nine months of 2026 totaled BRL 5.5 billion, exceeding the full-year amount from 2025. The agreements had an average duration of 42 months and were concentrated in the automotive, pulp and paper, and consumer goods sectors.
Margins trail profit growth
Adjusted EBITDA slipped 0.6% to BRL 522.8 million, while the operating margin declined from 21.2% to 19.9%. The reported mix included a larger share of services using independent subcontracted drivers, an asset-light model with lower EBITDA margins, while prior-year results benefited from tax credits.
JSL Conecta gross service revenue increased 19.5%, supported by a 66.5% rise at JSL Digital. JSL Dedicados, which operates with owned or leased vehicles, grew 0.3%, while the Intralog warehousing division advanced 3%.
Cash flow supports deleveraging
JSL generated BRL 318.8 million in cash during the quarter, its fifth consecutive period of positive cash generation. Net capital expenditure fell 65% year over year to BRL 22 million, as the company continued to prioritize leased trucks and equipment over direct purchases.
Net debt to EBITDA declined to 2.6 times from 3.0 times a year earlier. Adjusted net income rose 12.6% to BRL 40.3 million, although the company still reported a nine-month net loss of BRL 108.3 million after a BRL 167 million provision linked to Sistema S earlier in 2026.
JSL serves multiple logistics markets
JSL is a Brazilian logistics operator and a subsidiary of Simpar. Its activities include dedicated logistics, outsourced-driver services, internal logistics, warehousing, cargo transportation, urban distribution, and related transport solutions across several customer industries.
