LG CNS completed a 30-megawatt artificial intelligence data center in Jakarta, Indonesia, strengthening its position in the overseas AI infrastructure market. The Korea Herald reported the completion on Monday, November 2, 2026.
Jakarta project creates regional option
The facility was built for KMG, a joint venture between Indonesia's Sinar Mas Group and Korea Investment Real Asset Management. Its full capacity had been booked before completion, giving LG CNS an operating foothold with an established customer base.
The project is designed for next-generation graphics processing units and high-performance computing. Its hybrid cooling system combines conventional air cooling with liquid cooling, while the power infrastructure supports more than 300 kilowatts per rack.
LG CNS is designing a second phase that could raise total power capacity to 400 megawatts. The company also plans to pursue AI data center projects in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Japan as demand for AI computing infrastructure expands across Asia.
AI services extend beyond construction
In South Korea, LG CNS offers data center colocation, design-build-operate services, modular facilities, GPU-as-a-service and liquid cooling solutions. It is also developing AI factory services that combine infrastructure with AI platforms and applications.
The Jakarta project therefore gives investors a tangible example of LG CNS's international expansion in AI infrastructure. The commercial significance will depend on execution, utilization and the company's ability to convert additional regional projects into recurring service revenue.
