- The order expands an existing marine customer relationship into intelligent exhaust-recycling applications.
- LiqTech is extending its silicon carbide filtration technology and China operating platform across additional marine uses.
LiqTech International announced on October 20, 2026, that Shanghai Qiyao Environmental Technology had ordered two water treatment units for intelligent control by exhaust recycling, or iCER, marine engine applications. The company said delivery is scheduled for December 2026 in its October 20 press release.
China order broadens marine offering
The order is Shanghai Qiyao Environmental Technology's first purchase of LiqTech iCER water treatment systems. It extends a relationship that previously focused on marine scrubber water treatment and adds another application for LiqTech's filtration technology.
In iCER systems, water cools and cleans exhaust gas before part of the gas is recirculated into the engine. LiqTech says its silicon carbide ceramic membranes remove soot, oil and other contaminants from the circulating water, supporting water reuse and system operation.
Local platform supports expansion
LiqTech's joint venture in China provides local engineering, sourcing, assembly and service, while the company continues to manufacture its core silicon carbide membranes in Denmark. Management said the new order illustrates its effort to expand established marine customer relationships into iCER and exhaust gas recirculation applications.
The company also said it has experience from more than 170 marine scrubber installations. The planned December delivery gives investors a near-term commercial milestone, although the announcement itself does not disclose the order's financial value.
