- Net provisions for impaired receivables fell, supporting earnings alongside higher net product.
- The company reported a 21.75% share of Morocco's leasing market.
Maghrebail reported a 15.4% year-on-year increase in first-half 2026 net profit to MAD 82.5 million. The figures were discussed by Dirham Digest in an analysis published on September 30, 2026.
Leasing portfolio expands
Net accounting receivables stood at MAD 13,527 million at the end of the first half, up 8.15% from a year earlier. Net product increased 9.64% to MAD 239.8 million, while reported revenue rose to MAD 2,345 million from MAD 2,133 million.
The portfolio was split between equipment financing, which represented 68%, and real estate financing at 32%. Dirham Digest also cited a 21.75% share of Morocco's leasing market, based on the company's half-year publication.
Lower provisions support earnings
Net provisions for impaired receivables declined to MAD 22.8 million from MAD 27.3 million a year earlier. The article described the reduction in risk charges as an additional contributor to the improvement in net profit. The coverage ratio for impaired receivables was reported at 86.72%.
For investors, the results combine portfolio growth with a lower reported cost of risk. The quality of repayments on newly financed investments remains important because leasing income develops over the life of the financed assets rather than only when new contracts are signed.
