- Automotive profit increased 55 percent, supported by higher vehicle volumes.
- Farm revenue declined 6 percent as the festive-season shift weighed on the business.
- Services revenue rose 18 percent, while Tech Mahindra's EBIT margin reached 14.8 percent.
- The group reported a 24.3 percent SUV revenue market share.
Mahindra & Mahindra reported stronger consolidated earnings for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with profit after tax rising 25 percent year over year. The company announced the results on Thursday, November 5, in its Q2 FY27 results release.
Earnings show uneven growth
Automotive was the main contributor, with consolidated profit increasing 55 percent and revenue rising 39 percent. Vehicle volumes reached 331,000 units, up 26 percent from a year earlier, while utility-vehicle volumes stood at 183,000 units.
The farm-equipment business moved in the opposite direction. Revenue declined 6 percent and profit fell 9 percent, with Mahindra citing a shift in the festive season. Services revenue increased 18 percent, and Mahindra Finance's assets under management grew 15 percent.
Reuters reported that demand for Mahindra's higher-margin sport-utility vehicles helped offset rising raw-material costs. The company also reported a 26 percent increase in total auto volumes for the quarter.
Auto momentum meets farm pressure
Mahindra retained a 24.3 percent revenue market share in SUVs and reported a 14.8 percent EBIT margin at Tech Mahindra. Management said the group remains focused on profitable growth despite an uneven macroeconomic environment and commodity pressures.
