MaxLinear reported strong third-quarter growth on October 22, 2026, as demand for optical products used in AI data centers accelerated. The company said revenue reached 218.1 million US dollars for the quarter ended September 30, according to the MaxLinear investor-relations release.

Infrastructure becomes the growth engine

Revenue increased 29 percent from the previous quarter and 72 percent from a year earlier. MaxLinear said infrastructure revenue rose 210 percent year over year, reflecting adoption of optical AI data-center products and volume growth for its Keystone PAM4 digital signal processor platform.

GAAP diluted earnings were 0.30 US dollars per share, while diluted non-GAAP earnings were 0.62 US dollars. The non-GAAP figure excludes items including stock-based compensation, amortization of acquired intangibles, acquisition and integration costs, restructuring charges and certain tax effects, so the two measures should not be treated as equivalent.

Guidance points to continued momentum

For the fourth quarter of 2026, MaxLinear expects revenue between 240 million and 260 million US dollars. It forecasts GAAP gross margin of 58 percent to 61 percent and non-GAAP gross margin of 59 percent to 62 percent. The company expects seasonal weakness in broadband and connectivity to be offset by continued infrastructure demand.

MaxLinear also increased the availability of its revolving credit facility by 70 million US dollars to 200 million US dollars. The company said the additional capacity supports wafer purchases, customer demand and growth opportunities. Higher working-capital needs and reliance on a limited number of large AI customers remain relevant risks for investors.
