- The repurchase plan runs through April 2028 and will be executed on B3 through BTG Pactual.
- Petz Cobasi is scheduled to publish third-quarter results on November 12 after the market close.
- Management said purchased shares may be held in treasury, canceled, resold or used for share-based compensation.
Petz Cobasi's board approved a program to repurchase up to 17.6 million ordinary shares on October 23, according to El Fondo. The plan covers up to 2.05 percent of issued shares and 10 percent of the free float, with a maximum settlement date of April 23, 2028.
Capital structure becomes the focus
Purchases will take place on B3 at market prices and will be intermediated by BTG Pactual. The company said the shares may remain in treasury, be canceled later, resold or allocated to share-based compensation programs.
Execution will depend on available funds and compliance with rules set by Brazil's securities regulator, the CVM. For investors, the program provides a potential route to reduce the number of shares in circulation, although the final effect depends on how much the company actually purchases and what it does with the shares.
Results arrive in November
Petz Cobasi plans to publish its third-quarter 2026 results on November 12 after the market close. The company has not yet reported those figures in the announcement covered by El Fondo.
Petz Cobasi in pet retail
Petz Cobasi operates in Brazil's pet retail market. The group was formed through the merger of Petz and rival Cobasi, a transaction that received antitrust approval in December 2025 subject to the sale of certain stores in Sao Paulo. The combination makes the integration of the two retail businesses a central operating theme for investors.
