PowerCompute stock was last at USD 1.06 on Nasdaq on October 6, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. ET, up 10.42 percent from the prior close. The move followed a new Mississippi power contract that raises contracted demand from 8.5 megawatts to 11 megawatts.
Mississippi capacity reaches 11 megawatts
According to GlobeNewswire on October 6, 2026, the contract took effect on October 1 and moved the Columbus, Mississippi site to Columbus Power's Large Data Service Rate. PowerCompute said the agreement runs through September 16, 2030.
The company said Columbus Power will return its USD 300,000 deposit, which PowerCompute plans to replace with a utility bond. The company also said the expansion required no capital contribution to the utility and carried no TVA capacity commitment charge.
Owned power supports mining and HPC
PowerCompute operates 26 megawatts of wholly owned electrical infrastructure, split between a 15-megawatt site in Calumet, Oklahoma and an 11-megawatt site in Columbus, Mississippi. The company uses that capacity for Bitcoin mining and is developing high-performance computing and artificial intelligence applications at its facilities, according to PowerCompute.
The contract changes the commercial setting for the Mississippi site rather than adding a new facility. PowerCompute said it can curtail during peak hours and draw contracted demand during the remaining hours, which affects the demand component of power costs.
Nasdaq compliance remains a key risk
A preliminary proxy statement dated October 5, 2026 seeks authorization for another reverse stock split, according to StockTitan. The filing says PowerCompute completed a 1-for-25 reverse split on July 13, 2026, after its stock had fallen below Nasdaq's USD 1.00 minimum bid requirement.
The proposal would give the board authority to pursue another split before December 31, 2027, but would not require one. That listing issue matters because the stock's USD 0.83 to USD 35.75 52-week range includes the current price near the lower end of the span.
PowerCompute stock stays near USD 1
PWCM was last at USD 1.06 on Nasdaq on October 6, 2026, with a session range of USD 0.98 to USD 1.07, volume of 216,580 shares and a market capitalization of USD 1.0 million. The combination of contracted power growth and a low share price leaves execution, liquidity and Nasdaq compliance as the central company-specific issues.
