Seneca Foods shareholders approved a five-for-one forward stock split at a special meeting on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Seneca Foods said the amendments will also increase authorized shares proportionally and adjust specified par values and preferred-stock terms.
Split approval clears next steps
The company plans to file the amendments with the Secretary of State of New York on November 16. Each share of capital stock issued that day is expected to become five shares of the applicable class or series, with the additional shares distributed after the market close.
Trading in Seneca Foods Class A and Class B common stock is expected to begin on a split-adjusted basis at market open on November 17. The transaction changes the number of shares and per-share terms but does not by itself alter an investor's proportional ownership.
Vote shows broad shareholder support
The split proposal received 2,186,568 votes in favor, 16,296 against and 151 abstentions. Shareholders also approved the removal of Preferred Stock Without Par Value from the company's authorized shares, with 2,200,541 votes in favor, 2,251 against and 223 abstentions.
Seneca Foods stock has no current trade quote in this report. Investors' next operational milestones are the planned charter filing and the expected start of split-adjusted trading.
