Yokogawa Bridge Holdings reported higher sales but weaker earnings for the six months ended September 30, 2026. In its release on Tuesday, October 27, the Japanese infrastructure group said net sales rose 25.4 percent year over year to 87.174 billion yen, while operating profit fell 10.8 percent to 4.003 billion yen. Profit attributable to owners of the parent declined 23.5 percent to 2.289 billion yen. The figures are from the company's six-month financial results.
Revenue Growth Tests Profit Quality
The bridge business posted sales of 48.155 billion yen, up 27.7 percent, but operating profit fell 29.2 percent to 2.262 billion yen. The company attributed the sales increase partly to the contribution from Br. Holdings, which became a wholly owned subsidiary in March 2026. Engineering sales climbed 73.2 percent to 13.489 billion yen, with operating profit reaching 1.190 billion yen.
Consolidated orders received totaled 70.274 billion yen, down 0.4 percent from the prior-year period. Bridge orders dropped 30.2 percent to 26.876 billion yen, while engineering orders increased 43.1 percent and precision-equipment orders rose 105.8 percent. The order backlog stood at 245.333 billion yen at September 30, compared with 197.593 billion yen a year earlier.
Forecasts Remain Unchanged
Yokogawa Bridge Holdings kept its forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, unchanged. The company expects sales of 198.000 billion yen, operating profit of 12.000 billion yen, ordinary profit of 11.200 billion yen and profit attributable to owners of the parent of 8.200 billion yen. The planned annual dividend remains 130 yen per share.
The company said it plans to publish materials for an earnings briefing for institutional investors and analysts on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The unchanged outlook leaves execution, project profitability and order conversion as central issues for investors.
