The drill rigs are warming up again at Bald Hill. Antimony Resources is set to launch a 19,000-metre campaign from mid-May, splitting its focus between expanding the known Main Zone and testing newly identified satellite targets that could reshape the project's footprint.

The bulk of the programme — 13,000 metres — will target the Main Zone, where mineralisation has already been traced over 600 metres along strike and down to 400 metres depth. The remaining 6,000 metres will probe three satellite zones — Marcus, BH Central and BH South — that have only recently emerged from grassroots exploration.

Satellite zones show early promise

Those satellite targets are no longer speculative. At the Marcus West Zone, stibnite outcrops have returned widths of up to 11 metres. Trench sampling at BH Central, roughly 150 metres south of the Main Zone, delivered 2.8 percent antimony over 8.1 metres. The results suggest the mineralised system may be significantly larger than the current conceptual target of 2.7 million tonnes at 3 to 4 percent antimony — a figure that remains unclassified until a formal resource estimate is completed.

Antimony Resources has already drilled 25,000 metres across 77 holes since April 2025. The Main Zone averages four to five metres in width with antimony grades of around 3 to 4 percent. CEO Jim Atkinson used the recent drilling pause for maintenance work, and operations are now running at full capacity.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

Resource estimate looms as key catalyst

More than 1,500 drill cores are currently at the lab, with assay results expected in May. That data will feed directly into a 3D geological model being built by SRK Consultants, who will produce the project's first NI 43-101-compliant mineral resource estimate. The estimate was originally flagged for late April or early May, but the timing has slipped slightly as the volume of incoming data grows.

The 3D model already shows the Main Zone remains open in all directions, giving the programme room to expand further. SRK, based in Toronto, will deliver the formal estimate once the lab results are integrated.

Permitting and offtake advance in parallel

While drilling continues, Antimony Resources has started the regulatory process. GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists is developing a full permitting roadmap, and initial discussions with the New Brunswick provincial government have taken place. The province has signalled active support for critical minerals, having announced its own strategy for the sector. A formal mining permit application is expected by early 2027 at the latest.

On the commercial side, the company is actively seeking offtake partners for future production. The timing aligns with a tightening global market. China has suspended export restrictions on critical minerals to the US only until November 2026, leaving domestic sources in North America with growing strategic value.

Antimony Resources at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Strategic window narrows

Antimony is classified as a critical mineral in both the US and the EU. Demand from the photovoltaic sector alone was roughly 330 percent higher in 2024 than four years earlier. With Chinese export policy uncertain beyond late 2026, projects like Bald Hill are moving into a narrowing window of opportunity.

For now, the market is pricing Bald Hill on expectations. Once SRK delivers its resource estimate, the conversation shifts from potential to proven tonnes. The next few weeks will determine whether the 1,500 cores waiting in the lab confirm the scale the company is betting on.
