A new docking station from Baseus aims to solve the cable tangle and slow charging that plague many multi-device workspaces. The company claims its intelligent power management can cut charging times by up to 35%.

The Spacemate RD1 Pro, unveiled Monday, packs 15 ports into a single hub and adds a Qi2.2 wireless charging pad capable of topping up smartphones at 25 watts. For wired devices, a 180-watt GaN power supply delivers a total output of 160 watts—enough to run a laptop, monitors and peripherals simultaneously.

Display flexibility includes dual 4K monitors at 60 hertz, or a single 4K screen pushed to 120 Hz for smoother visuals. The dock is priced at €259.99 for the German market, with launch discounts planned when sales begin in mid-June.

The station arrives as laptop performance climbs and connectivity demands escalate. HP’s EliteBook X2 G2 series, unveiled at CES 2026, targets the same user base with options for Qualcomm Snapdragon X2, Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470 chips. Intel models have been available since February; AMD and Snapdragon variants followed in spring. The laptops offer up to 64 GB of RAM, 2 TB of storage, and 14-inch OLED displays running at 120 Hz—making them natural partners for the dock’s high-resolution output.

Beyond the desk, industrial workplaces are also chasing stronger connectivity. At COMPUTEX 2026, ASUS showed the fanless RUC-2000H edge-AI system, built on the same Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chip. It carries MIL-STD-810H certification, includes dual 10-GbE ports, and can link up to eight GMSL2 cameras. First engineering samples are expected to reach professional users by mid-June.
