European Artillery Alliance: KNDS and Elbit Launch EuroPULS Venture

A significant joint venture in the defense sector has been formally established. KNDS, the Franco-German defense group, and Israel's Elbit Systems have combined their expertise to create EuroPULS GmbH, a new entity focused on the rocket artillery market. The 50/50 partnership, headquartered in Kassel, Germany, will market the EuroPULS family of rocket artillery systems specifically to armed forces across Europe.

Strategic Synergies and Market Positioning

The collaboration leverages the distinct strengths of each partner. KNDS contributes its advanced fire control technology and an established network with European defense customers. Elbit Systems provides the combat-proven PULS (Precise & Universal Launching System) rocket artillery technology. Axel Scheibel, Chief Technology Officer of KNDS, highlighted that this cooperation significantly enhances the company's standing within the rocket artillery sector.

This strategic move coincides with a notable push by European NATO members to expand and modernize their long-range artillery and rocket capabilities. The launch of EuroPULS GmbH positions the venture to capitalize directly on this increased defense spending and strategic focus.

A Launch with Immediate Momentum

The new company begins operations with a confirmed order already in hand. Through a government-to-government agreement involving the Netherlands, Israel, and Germany, an initial batch of five EuroPULS launcher systems has been purchased. These units are in the Initial Operational Capability (IOC) configuration. Delivery and qualification of these systems are scheduled for 2027.

With this foundational contract secured and a clear strategic focus on the European defense landscape, EuroPULS GmbH enters the market with immediate operational traction and a defined roadmap for its initial product deployment.
