Exploration Breakthrough at Future Fuels’ Hornby Basin Uranium Project
15.01.2026 - 19:43:05Future Fuels has reported a significant advancement in its exploration of the Hornby Basin Uranium Project in Nunavut, Canada. A recent high-resolution gravity survey has pinpointed six promising gravitational anomalies, with one situated directly above the known Mountain Lake uranium system.
To gain a clearer geological picture, Future Fuels commissioned EarthEx Geophysical Solutions to conduct an extensive gravity survey between mid-September and early October 2025. This initiative effectively doubled the data previously held from historical IsoEnergy surveys, resulting in the most detailed dataset ever compiled for the region.
The analysis identified six well-defined anomalies spread across three structural zones. Four are located between the Helmut and Imperial faults, aligning with mapped geological contacts. The remaining two anomalies extend beyond the current survey area, suggesting the potential for a larger mineralized system.
A critical finding is the precise spatial correlation of Anomaly 5 with the established Mountain Lake uranium system. This match validates the gravity survey method as an effective direct exploration tool for uranium within the Hornby Basin.
CEO Highlights Potential and Outlines Next Steps
Rob Leckie, CEO of Future Fuels, commented on the results, stating, "The gravity anomaly over Mountain Lake has generated clear targets. These new anomalies point toward a uranium system of substantially greater scale than previously understood."
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Future Fuels?
Notably, Anomaly 6 represents a brand-new, untested exploration target. It lies within a separate fault block that shares structural characteristics with the productive Mountain Lake area but has never been drilled.
In response to these findings, the company has outlined an aggressive plan for 2026. This includes a 10,000-meter drilling program, additional geophysical work, and the construction of a seasonal exploration camp. Future Fuels intends to further refine drill targets by processing the survey data through advanced 3D inversion modeling techniques.
European Marketing Campaign Launched
Concurrent with this exploration update, Future Fuels disclosed a 60-day marketing agreement with Germany's MCS Market Communication Service GmbH. The contract, with a budget of €155,000, is focused on digital advertising and investor outreach across Europe and North America. Its execution remains subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.
Looking ahead, the company's next quarterly financial results, for Q3 2026 covering the period up to January 31, 2026, are anticipated in March 2026.
