For Workers Over 181 kg: LiberNovo Launches Specialised Maxis Office Chair Line

Standard office furniture often leaves taller and heavier employees struggling for proper support. LiberNovo, the German manufacturer, is now addressing that gap with a new chair range called Maxis, designed for users weighing up to 181 kilograms and standing roughly 1.78 metres to over two metres tall. The series arrived in Europe, the United States and Canada on 16 June 2026, with Japan following a day later.
A central feature of the Maxis line is its aluminium die-cast base, which provides the stability required to handle the higher load. The seat measures 52 centimetres in depth, while the backrest spans 43 centimetres across the shoulders and 52 centimetres at the lumbar area. An adjustable U-shaped headrest supports the cervical spine and can move 140 millimetres vertically and 120 millimetres horizontally. Users can recline up to 160 degrees using a five- or six-stage tilt mechanism, a design meant to encourage dynamic sitting and reduce spinal strain during extended hours at a desk.
LiberNovo offers three equipment levels within the Maxis family. The entry-level “Manual” version relies on classic mechanical adjustments. The “Electric” variant adds a motorised lumbar support and a spine-massage function. At the top end sits the “Airflow” model, which includes active seat ventilation for improved thermal comfort.
Alongside the Maxis series, the company also unveiled upgrades to its Omni range: the Omni SE and the Omni Pro. The Omni Pro features a fully electric control system and integrated motorised spine massage. A test report dated 17 June 2026 praised the chair’s build quality and massage components. Both Omni models earned the Red Dot and iF Design Award 2026 before their market debut.
Pricing varies by configuration. The Omni SE starts at 589 euros, and the Omni Pro at 979 euros. The Maxis manual version begins at 829 euros. While the Omni chairs are already shipping, deliveries for the Maxis line are scheduled for 10 August 2026. Until 31 July 2026, LiberNovo is offering introductory discounts on the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices.
Industry observers view the expanded portfolio as a move to capture a growing premium segment in specialised ergonomic workplace solutions — a market where standard office chairs often fall short for users exceeding 100 kilograms in body weight or unusual height.
