From 49-Inch Monitor Arms to 181-Kg Chairs: Germany’s Ergonomic Market Gets Highly Specific

Carpenters in Germany now have their own ergonomics showroom, but the push for tailored workplace comfort stretches far beyond the workshop floor. On June 12, the Federal Association of Carpenters and Cabinetmakers (Bundesverband Tischler Schreiner Deutschland) teamed up with project partner Buckoptimal to open a hands-on demonstration space in Löningen. Tool manufacturers Mafell and Beck are among the partners showcasing practical solutions for the trade.
That same drive for customization is reshaping the office, too. Monitor maker BenQ has announced the Creative Pro PV3250U, a 31.5-inch model built around an IPS Black panel with a 3000:1 contrast ratio. It is slated to reach the market in September 2026. Meanwhile, Alogic used the InfoComm 2026 trade show to unveil two new touch displays: the Aspekt Touch 27 (4K resolution, arriving in July) and the mobile Folio Duo, expected in September. Interactive screens demand precise positioning—poor ergonomics undermine their utility.
Supporting that precision is Novus, which today expanded its Clu series of monitor arms with a new joint called “smart.connect.” The component is designed to safely hold even large 49-inch curved displays at full extension. A QuickRelease mechanism simplifies installation. Sustainability is also baked in: the plastic parts contain up to 97% recycled material, and packaging volume has been cut by 77% compared with earlier models.
Ergonomic hardware does the heavy lifting for comfort—but keeping your workplace fully compliant means having the right documentation in place too. A free Risk Assessment Toolkit provides 41 ready-to-use checklists and templates that cover everything from display screen setups to manual handling and fire safety. Download the free Risk Assessment Toolkit Over 37,000 UK businesses already use it to formalise their safety processes and protect their teams.
Adaptability extends to seating, too. Office furniture sellers FlexiSpot and LiberNovo have been running discount campaigns this mid-June period. LiberNovo introduced its Maxis series, a chair line engineered for users weighing up to 181 kilograms. These models come with electric massage elements and integrated ventilation systems.
The underlying message across all these developments is clear: ergonomic workplace design is becoming less one-size-fits-all and more individually configurable—whether for a carpenter at a bench or a knowledge worker at a heavy curved screen.
