Security experts are sounding the alarm as Amazon’s Prime Day 2026 approaches, warning that fraudulent activity is rising in parallel with the consumer frenzy. Between December 2025 and May 2026, 6,843 new domains referencing Amazon were registered, and roughly nine percent of them are considered malicious. Shoppers are urged to watch for phishing emails, fake SMS alerts, and manipulated online storefronts, and to complete any purchase only through verified platforms.
The four-day sales event runs from June 23 to 26, with discounts of up to 50 percent on office furniture. Home-office users in particular stand to benefit. FlexiSpot has cut prices on its electric height-adjustable desks from the ValtreX series: the E200 model now costs €279.99, the E300 €319.99 (about €80 below regular price), and the WoodiX E3 is listed at €379.99. The CylineX ER8 chair is available for €259.99. FlexiSpot backs its products with warranties of up to ten years. Competitor Clouvou has also slashed prices: its CleverDesk desk costs €279.99 (a €70 saving), the CleverSeat chair €199.95, the MasterSeat €379.99, and a compact Nexus stool sells for just under €100.
Premium seating options see even steeper reductions. The Hbada X7 stands out with a €340 discount, effectively halving its purchase price for the duration of the sale. Sihoo, which launched its promotion early on June 3 and will continue until July 1, 2026, offers its ergonomic Doro-series chairs at lower prices: the Doro C300 runs €259.99, the Pro versions C300 Pro and C300 Pro V2 cost €359.99 and €439.99 respectively, and entry-level models like the M18 Classic are available for under €170. Specific coupon codes can bring Sihoo’s prices down further.
Amazon is tying this year’s Prime Day more closely to technology upgrades. The spotlight is on Alexa Plus, an AI-powered enhancement for the voice assistant. Buyers of Echo or Fire TV devices receive early access to the new features. Discounted hardware includes the Echo Dot Max at €64.99 and the Echo Studio at €189.99. All deals require a Prime membership, which costs €8.99 monthly or €89.90 annually. Market observers see the strategy as a way to personalize the shopping experience and lock users into the Amazon ecosystem. Last year, Prime members in Germany saved an average of €180 on shipping costs.
With high search volumes expected, safety remains a key concern. Experts advise consumers to scrutinise offers carefully and to carry out transactions exclusively through official channels.
