Sivers Semiconductors: Board and CEO Add Shares as Accounting Fix and Dilution Rattle Investors
Published on 07/17/2026 at 09:01 | Redaktion boerse-global.deSivers Semiconductors’ top executives and board members have purchased roughly 950,000 SEK worth of equity in the company, a move that stands in stark contrast to the stock’s 70% collapse from its June high. Chief executive Vickram Vathulya and five directors bought shares on July 13, locking them in with a one-year holding period — an uncommon show of faith given the dark clouds gathering over the Swedish photonics specialist.
Those clouds are thick. The company recently announced a restatement of its 2025 and 2024 financial results, widening its net loss for last year to 222.6 million SEK from the previously reported 186.5 million SEK. Revenue for 2024 was also revised down to 219.2 million SEK from 243.7 million SEK. Such corrections undermine the credibility of earlier reporting and have sent a jolt through the shareholder base. On July 16, the stock tumbled 13.48% in a single session.
Compounding the accounting headache, Sivers completed a directed equity placement at 57 SEK per share — a 9.7% discount to the prevailing market price — raising approximately 700 million SEK. The offering was oversubscribed, but the resulting dilution has weighed heavily on the stock, whose last closing price in euros stood at 3.07. That represents a 70.01% retreat from the 52-week high of 10.23 euros reached just six weeks earlier.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Sivers Semiconductors?
Technical indicators paint the picture of an oversold name with no clear floor yet in sight. The 14-day relative strength index sits at 33.1, deep in oversold territory, while the stock trades well below its 100-day moving average of 3.85 euros. Annualized 30-day volatility has surged to over 153%, reflecting the extreme uncertainty surrounding the name. Analyst price targets, where available, have been slashed to 9.95 SEK — a level the shares had already overshot in early July.
Against this backdrop, the insider buying offers a contrarian signal but has so far failed to arrest the decline. The market now shifts its attention to the second-quarter 2026 report, scheduled for August 27, which will test whether the company’s underlying operations have stabilised and whether the fresh capital has strengthened the balance sheet. Sivers is also targeting a Nasdaq listing in the second half of 2026 or early 2027, a potential catalyst that some analysts — including Serenity Analysis, which draws parallels to the Co-Packaged Optics success story of LITE — see as a long-term value driver. For the time being, though, the tug-of-war between insider confidence and the fallout from the restatement and dilution keeps the stock firmly in volatile territory.
