Antimony Resources Fills Its C$3 Million Coffers, but Bald Hill's Geometry Still Holds the Verdict

Antimony Resources has closed the books on its private placement, pulling in gross proceeds of C$3.000.000 — and the cheque came from a single source. On 16 October the company reported that a strategic mining investor had subscribed for the entire financing, a show of demand for this specific raise rather than an endorsement of what lies beneath Bald Hill. The company did not name the backer.

The mechanics are straightforward enough. Antimony Resources issued 10.000.000 units at C$0,30 apiece, each comprising one common share and half a warrant. A full warrant carries an exercise price of C$0,50 and runs until 23 October 2028. Any future exercise would mint additional shares; closing the placement does not trigger that automatically. Proceeds are earmarked for exploration and development at Bald Hill plus working capital — a clearly defined use, though hardly a substitute for results from the ground.

What the drills have actually shown

Roughly two weeks ago, the company reported 4,36% antimony over 13,0 metres from Bald Hill's Main Zone. According to Antimony Resources, the intercepts extend higher-grade mineralisation southward toward the Central Zone. Within that broader interval sat a richer stretch: 21,45% antimony across 1,10 metres.

That headline number deserves context rather than reverence. A narrow high-grade core describes one slice of the hole, not the mineralised zone as a whole, and investors should resist carrying it across the entire project. The more consequential question is spatial — whether separate intercepts knit together into a coherent picture that can underpin the first resource estimate the company is targeting. Management has explicitly framed both the extension of mineralisation and support for that estimate as the aims of its drilling.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

Three threads that should not be tangled

It pays to keep the strands apart. The financing supports the planned work; the assays supply project data; and the antimony market sets the economic weather. None of the three stands in for the others.

On that last front, media reports yesterday noted unchanged antimony prices over the 19 to 26 October period, following an earlier correction driven by easing supply tightness and soft demand. That is an industry factor, not a company-specific triumph — and it offers no read-through on project quality or a tidy explanation for the share price.

The bull case, and the other one

Should further drilling confirm that higher-grade mineralisation continues southward, the reported extension would harden into something more useful: evidence of the project's spatial reach. Results that link existing mineralised areas would carry particular weight, strengthening the foundation for the sought-after resource estimate. The fact that Antimony Resources reported a broader mineralised interval alongside the isolated peak grade gives that scenario a foothold — a starting point for further work, not proof of consistent quality throughout.

The bear case looks rather different. Exploration could continue with the high grades confirming only in patches, leaving strong individual hits intact while failing to shore up expectations of continuity. For shareholders the distinction matters: the quality of a single drill section and the durability of a resource estimate are not the same thing.

Nor does the completed raise erase the exploration risk or settle questions about the future capital structure. The incoming cash buys financial room to manoeuvre — nothing more. Whether that room translates into a sturdier project base depends on the next batch of assays and on progress toward the maiden resource estimate. Investors must decide how much geological confirmation they want in hand before repricing the stock.
