Circus SE Wins UAE Regulatory Nod, Lines Up Abu Dhabi Debut and November Investor Blitz

Circus SE has cleared the regulatory hurdle that opens its first market outside Europe. The Hamburg-based food robotics group secured an ECAS certificate from the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, a credential it says makes it the first food-robotics company with full regulatory clearance in the region. Dubai is earmarked as the next stop on its Gulf roadmap.
To get the rollout moving, Circus is leaning on a tie-up with Royal Prestige Food Contracts, a partner that says it turns out more than three million meals a year across the United Arab Emirates. Its customer roster runs from government ministries and the armed forces to the royal palace, the energy group ADNOC and the Red Crescent. Robots deployed in the field will run on locally sourced components, with the company eventually aiming to build its Circus Pods inside the region rather than shipping them in.
CA-1 Makes Its Gulf Bow in Abu Dhabi
A live presentation of the CA-1 system is set for Abu Dhabi on 6 October 2026, giving the company a regional stage to show off the hardware. While that date approaches, CEO Nikolas Bullwinkel is assembling a heavy slate of appearances before institutional investors.
The pitch centers on Physical AI, the scaling of robotics, global supply chains and software platforms. Alongside defense applications, Bullwinkel is expected to lay out the expansion into the United Kingdom and the UAE.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Circus?
Four Stops on the November Roadshow
The investor tour kicks off on 10 November 2026 at Bank of America's Transforming World Conference, followed the next day by the Münchner Kapitalmarkt Konferenz. Toward the end of the month, Circus takes the stage at the Deutsches Eigenkapitalforum on 23 November 2026 and at Goldman Sachs' AI Symposium on 25 November 2026. Dual-use robotics and Physical AI sit at the heart of the message at each stop, with management also detailing the operational footprint in Britain and the Gulf.
The commercial groundwork in the Emirates rests on the partnership with Royal Prestige Catering, which has already carried the Circus Pods into live service in the region. On the technology side, Circus broadened its portfolio by acquiring Alberts, a Belgian food-robotics specialist.
A Sector Drawing Heavy Capital
Automated catering systems are pulling in serious investment worldwide. Wonder, for one, unveiled an automated bowl-preparation unit in Manhattan built on technology from Spyce, the specialist it absorbed. Major players are betting on robot-assisted kitchen processes and automation software to squeeze out efficiency and standardize preparation.
Market Reaction Stays Muted
Equity investors have taken a cautious view of the Gulf push. The stock changed hands at EUR 1.86, a decline of 2.6% on the day, putting the company's market capitalization at EUR 38.87 million. That valuation matches the level implied by the pre-market quote of EUR 1.88, which reflected a 10% gain over the preceding seven sessions.
