CSG has pencilled in 11 November 2026 at 10:00 CET for the presentation of its first nine months of 2026 trading — a date that carries no figures of its own but hands investors a yardstick for measuring the operational substance behind a widening web of partnerships. The question the market will bring to that briefing is straightforward: how much real business sits beneath the group's push into space and its forays into navigation technology?

That strategic direction has been taking shape quickly. On 13 October CSG disclosed the acquisition of a 9.5% stake in MDA Space, a holding it describes as making it the largest shareholder of the Canadian space company and marking its entry into the space sector. The share purchase is done and dusted. What remains aspirational are the follow-on opportunities CSG has floated alongside it — manufacturing or assembly facilities in Europe and strategic takeovers among them. None of those has been agreed, let alone implemented.

Jurak Flags European Ambitions

Speaking to media on Monday, finance chief Zdenek Jurak underscored the appetite for European cooperation, saying CSG sees potential in bringing MDA Space onto the continent and building joint activities there. His remarks sharpen the strategic compass without putting a number on what such a move might eventually contribute.

A second expansion track opened on 12 October, when CSG subsidiary Excalibur International struck an agreement with US firm Bavovna to support the international rollout of adaptive autonomy and alternative navigation technologies. Bavovna characterised the arrangement as a cooperation and distribution partnership. No customer orders, delivery volumes or contract value were disclosed — a distinction that matters, since a distribution agreement opens doors to business without yet standing as proof of revenue earned.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying CSG?

Two Roads, One Balance Sheet

The two moves illustrate different ways of growing. In the MDA Space case CSG ties itself to another company as a shareholder; in the Bavovna case a collaboration is meant to carry technology into international markets. Neither has yet been translated into reported earnings, which is why the November trading update looms so large.

Analysts, meanwhile, are pulling in opposite directions. On Thursday Piotr Chodyra of Trigon Dom Maklerski trimmed his price target to 22 euro from 23 euro while keeping his buy rating intact. Afonso Osorio of Barclays reaffirmed a sell recommendation the same day, with a price target of 19 euro. Friday's close of €13.78 sat below both markers — a gap that highlights the distance between the share price and the targets but does nothing to narrow the disagreement over the ratings themselves. Price targets are estimates, not promises about where the stock goes next.

Funding and Full Order Books

Against that mixed verdict on the equity, the operating news has been concrete. On Tuesday came word of a €29.3 million grant for MSM Walsrode, the German CSG subsidiary, awarded under the European defence industry programme for its energy-related nitrocellulose project. It is project financing rather than a reported order intake or an earnings contribution already booked — a distinction investors should keep firmly in view.

CSG at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Le Monde reported the same day that Slovak ammunition plants are running at full capacity amid demand tied to the war in Ukraine, casting CSG as a major beneficiary of the sector's expansion. Strong utilisation and EU backing therefore bolster the operating outlook, yet they do not add up to a uniformly bullish view of the stock. The split recommendations issued on Thursday make the point plainly: industrial momentum and investment verdicts are two separate ledgers, and the 11 November presentation will be where the first of them gets tested against hard numbers.
