Lenzing Opens Heiligenkreuz Bidding in November While New Share Count Beds In
Published on 11/01/2026 at 14:02 | Editorial boerse-global.deLenzing has set November as the window for initial bids in the sale of its Heiligenkreuz plant, according to a media report cited by the APA news agency. Fibre output at the site is meanwhile set to continue at full staffing levels through the end of March 2027, even as the divestment process gathers pace.
The two tracks — a plant on the block and a mill still running flat out — sit alongside a third moving part: the share register that has taken shape since Lenzing wrapped up its capital increase roughly two weeks ago.
Register Rewritten After the Cash Call
Lenzing's mandatory disclosure now puts the total number of voting rights at 73,374,542, with share capital of EUR 76,204,702.90. The change took effect on 22 October. The company had already published its revised shareholder structure on the Thursday, a day before the voting-rights total was confirmed.
At the heart of that structure is the syndicate of B&C-Gruppe and Suzano S.A., which continues to hold roughly 52.25% of voting rights — a majority that survived the dilution intact. Suzano Holding S.A. added a direct stake of about 0.80% in connection with the raise. Goldman Sachs Group's holding was put at 5.86%.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Lenzing?
One filing stands out for having been revised rather than newly triggered. NN Group disclosed a 4.27% voting stake, up from the 2.54% in its earlier notification, with the threshold date given as 23 October. The higher figure stems from a correction to the prior disclosure, not from fresh buying.
The Mechanics of the Raise
Lenzing issued 34,756,362 new shares in the capital increase, which closed about two weeks ago. Gross proceeds came to roughly EUR 301.2 million, and the subscription offer drew an acceptance rate of 99%.
With the balance sheet work behind it, attention turns to the next scheduled disclosure: third-quarter 2026 results, due on 5 November.
Lenzing at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
A Weak Friday in Vienna
Lenzing shares shed 2.5% on Friday amid a soft session on the Vienna Stock Exchange. APA attributed the broader pressure to rising oil and gas prices and weak overnight cues from international technology stocks. AT&S, voestalpine, BAWAG and Raiffeisen were also among the day's decliners, according to media reports, which identified no single common trigger for the losses.
That market-wide explanation applies to the exchange as a whole; no company-specific catalyst at Lenzing was confirmed.
