Li-FT Power is steering its exploration narrative toward two milestones in early 2027: a mineral resource estimate and a preliminary economic assessment for the Adina-Galinée lithium project in Québec. The drill results the company released on Monday were framed squarely around those upcoming valuation steps.

The headline intercept came from hole ALP0002, which returned 56 metres grading 1.43% lithium oxide. That figure sits within a first batch of assays covering five of 45 holes, and management reads the data as support for a large, continuous spodumene-bearing pegmatite system — an interpretation the company itself is advancing.

Drilling footprint and the 2024 backlog

The summer 2026 campaign wrapped up 39 holes totalling 11,420.5 metres. Add in the six previously unreleased 2024 holes folded into the results and the reported program adds up to 13,403.5 metres of drill core at Adina-Galinée. Both the resource estimate and the initial economic study remain slated for early 2027.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Li-FT Power?

Investors responded in stages. The stock added 3.2% in the session before the release, then climbed a further 0.9% to €0.8900 on the day after the assays went public.

Renard: final condition cleared for C$12 million

Separately, Li-FT Power confirmed roughly two weeks ago that Québec's Ministry of Natural Resources had granted a deferral of rehabilitation and restoration work at Renard, pushing the obligation out to 23 June 2028. With that approval in hand, the last condition was satisfied for releasing a C$12 million cash option fee to secured creditors. The announcement addressed the trigger for the payment, not confirmation that funds had actually reached the lenders.

Yellowknife in the spotlight

A media report dated 21 October turned attention to the company's Yellowknife lithium project, where vice-president April Hayward discussed both the asset and a concept study for a lithium carbonate conversion facility that would draw feedstock from Yellowknife. The same report pointed back to Li-FT Power's 2024 resource estimate, which put the inferred resource at 50.4 million tonnes — a figure tied to Yellowknife, not to the Adina-GalinĂ©e assays published this week.

Corporate housekeeping also made news: on 20 October the company said it would move its registered Australian office to the address of its local representative, effective 21 October.
