Nebius Stock: October GPU Price Hikes Cement Pricing Power as Palantir Deal and Insider Sale Draw Scrutiny

Nebius is leaning on scarcity to do what few cloud providers dare: raise prices twice in a single quarter. The Dutch AI infrastructure specialist confirmed that on-demand GPU rates will climb between 17% and 21% starting October 1, its second such move in three months. Investors greeted the news by pushing the stock up 2.5% to EUR 194.42 on European trading venues Friday.
The increases are not uniform. Instances built around Nvidia's H100 accelerators will cost roughly 17% more, while the newer Nvidia B300 models carry a 21% premium. Customers running AMD EPYC Genoa processors face a steeper 25% bump, and Nebius is also adjusting select memory tariffs.
Why Clients Keep Paying Up
The willingness to absorb those increases says less about customer generosity than about the absence of alternatives. AI workloads have outrun available capacity so severely that access to compute now outranks cost discipline on corporate priority lists. For companies needing advanced processing power on short notice, global supply constraints leave few doors to knock on.
That dynamic has turned specialized infrastructure operators from interchangeable server landlords into price setters. Nebius, with its gigawatt-scale ambitions, sits squarely in that camp.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nebius?
A Revenue Base Growing at Triple-Digit Rates
The pricing moves land on top of an already steep growth curve. Nebius reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of USD 582 million, up 454% year over year. The Nebius AI unit generated 98% of total sales and expanded 514% within twelve months, with its annualized run-rate approaching USD 3 billion. Adjusted EBITDA margin in that segment sits near 50%.
Management reaffirmed its full-year guidance at the time and pointed to USD 40 billion in contracted backlog. Roughly two weeks ago, the company added further visibility by securing a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies, under which Nebius was named preferred provider for sovereign AI infrastructure. The stock has slipped 7.3% since that announcement.
Funding the Buildout
Financing the data centers and server farms behind those commitments requires enormous capital. Nebius booked USD 5.7 billion in second-quarter investments, supported by a capital raise of about USD 2.8 billion. In late August, the company secured roughly USD 5.75 billion in gross proceeds through a private placement of convertible bonds.
What cushions the risk is an unusual contract structure. Clients — among them heavyweights Microsoft and Meta — pre-finance between 50% and 60% of the required capital expenditure themselves. Combined with a USD 2 billion investment from Nvidia, that design shortens the payback period on data centers to under two years on paper.
Valuation and Insider Signals
Since the start of the year, the shares have gained 165%, though at EUR 194.42 they remain 26% below their 52-week high. The coming quarter will show whether the higher tariffs flow into the books without denting demand.
Not every signal points the same way. Director John Wilson IV Boynton sold 6,364 shares on September 15 for approximately USD 1.34 million — a reminder that insiders are taking some chips off the table even as the buildout accelerates.
