OHB Hands Back Rally Gains as Broker Targets Stay Intact
Published on 11/01/2026 at 17:02 | Editorial boerse-global.deOHB SE shares fell 9.9% on Friday to close at EUR 222.00, a retreat that media reports linked to profit-taking following a strong run in the stock rather than to any company-specific development. Pressure across European aerospace and defence names — Airbus, Leonardo and Thales among them — was cited as background, though no concrete trigger for the OHB move was established.
The drop came despite a pair of bullish broker verdicts issued in the days beforehand. Jefferies reaffirmed its "Buy" rating and EUR 280 price target on Thursday, ahead of the third-quarter figures, with analyst Chloe Lemarie expecting the positive margin trends seen in the first half to continue and OHB to stay on track for its full-year objectives. Berenberg had already kept its own "Buy" call and EUR 358 target on Tuesday; analyst Michael Filatov read comments from a Bundeswehr commander on Germany's military space programme as validation of his thesis. The two houses thus agree on the direction of the trade while sitting some EUR 78 apart on where the stock should be.
MediaMobil Stake and Astroscale Talks
On the corporate side, OHB disclosed on 26 October a strategic partnership with MediaMobil Communication GmbH. Under the arrangement, OHB is acquiring 25% of MediaMobil's shares through a capital increase, a holding intended to bolster capabilities in satellite communications.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying OHB SE?
Two days later, on Wednesday, the company signed a letter of intent with Astroscale Holdings Inc. The two groups will examine avenues for joint work in space safety, space situational awareness and in-orbit services. No firm orders were announced alongside the memorandum — it covers the exploration of possible cooperation, not projects already agreed.
Mainz Test Rig Cleared
OHB also reported the completion of a project on 22 October, when the modular rocket-engine test stand developed under the Eu-BEST programme received final acceptance in Mainz. The EU backed the venture with EUR 4.96 million. OHB Digital Connect was responsible for the mechanical structures and developed a thrust-measurement system for the rig.
Investors now turn to the nine-month figures for 2026, scheduled for 12 November, as the next scheduled catalyst.
