Primary Hydrogen Launches Wicheeda North Drilling While Going-Concern Warning Clouds the Balance Sheet
Published on 11/06/2026 at 18:20 | Editorial boerse-global.dePrimary Hydrogen has kicked off its maiden drill program at Wicheeda North in British Columbia, even as its latest interim filing carries a going-concern warning that casts a shadow over the company's financial footing. The stock slipped 3.8% today to €0.5050, extending a 2.8% decline from the prior session that left it at €0.5250. Neither move has been tied by the company to the exploration announcement.
Seven Holes Targeting a Rare-Earth Soil Anomaly
The campaign at Wicheeda North is expected to cover roughly 1,500 metres across about seven drill holes. It is aimed at a northwest-trending soil anomaly bearing rare earths — a target that first drew attention through earlier sampling work. According to the company, 37 of 692 soil samples from the second phase of investigation returned values above 300 ppm TRE+Y, with individual samples reaching as high as 932.21 ppm TRE+Y. Those figures describe the soil surveys only; the announcement marking the start of drilling contains no assay results from the holes themselves.
Primary Hydrogen said it expects the program to wrap up within a few weeks, a timeline it gave when announcing the start of work on Tuesday. The release concerns rare-earth exploration at Wicheeda North and does not report any drilling outcome related to natural hydrogen.

Interim Report Flags Doubt Over Continuation
Filed just over a week ago, the quarterly report — which discloses a net loss — also includes a material uncertainty regarding the company's ability to continue as a going concern. Per the financial statements, that uncertainty could raise substantial doubt about whether Primary Hydrogen can carry on its operations. The warning describes a financial risk rather than a settled decision to cease business.
The interim statements cover the three and nine months ended August 31, 2026. For the nine-month stretch, Primary Hydrogen posted a net loss of C$770,588, which widened to a comprehensive loss of C$771,016 once other comprehensive income was folded in. The figures were reported on October 29.
Third-Quarter Loss Detailed
For the third quarter of 2026 — the three months ended August 31 — the company booked a net loss of C$555,779, equal to C$0.09 per share for the period.
The going-concern language and the drilling launch arrive in the same news cycle, but the company has drawn no causal link between its share-price moves and either the exploration update or the financial disclosure.
